We’ve joined forces with Power PNW to host monthly networking happy hours the last Thursday of the month. When we’re in-person, we meet at the Lucky Lab in NW Portland, but we also meet on Zoom.
We’re a community of women and allies working in the Pacific Northwest renewable energy sector who are generating new levels of industry inclusiveness through community networking events and projects focused on diverse workforce development and empowerment.

Hands-on Basics of Solar Installation Training
Together with Oregon Solar Energy Industries Association (OSEIA), Solar Energy International, Energy Trust of Oregon, Oregon Tradeswomen, and Remote Energy, the training was developed to offer an introduction to Oregon's solar installer jobs which include material handler and two apprenticeship options - Limited Renewable Energy Technician and Electrician licenses.

Summer Fun with the Future of Solar!
The Solar Education Fund partners with youth camps in Oregon to teach kids about solar.
GirlsBuild - OSEEF has partnered with Power PNW to bring solar to the GirlsBuild summer camps. Girls ages 8-15 participate in a one-week summer camp where they learn to use power tools and all about different trades, including solar installation. In 2022 campers will be building a solar power sun mister!
Constructing Hope - OSEEF has partnered with the Blueprint Foundation to bring solar to the Constructing Hope youth program. Teenagers 16-19yrs old have the opportunity to learn about the construction industry, including green jobs where construction meets environmental protection. In 2022 participants will be visiting solar projects and building a solar notebook!
