Desari Strader has quickly become a recognized leader for her tireless advocacy for solar energy, both in Oregon and nationally. She has made a tremendous impact on repositioning OSEIA as the leading voice for solar energy public policy and industry development here in Oregon and in Washington D.C. She played an active role in the 8-year extension of the Federal Investment Tax Credit and credits the success of OSEIA to an effective and supportive Board of Directors.
Ms. Strader has extensive experience in developing public policy specializing in energy, health care and economic development. She was Legislative Director for Oregon State Representative Mitch Greenlick and Business Liaison for U.S. Congresswoman Darlene Hooley. Prior to entering politics, she was a long-time marketing veteran with NIKE.
Desari Strader was elected to the Washington County Board of Commissioners in 2006. She also serves on the Board of Clean Water Services, Workforce Investment Board and several non-profit boards. She and her two-year-old daughter Gabriella reside in Washington County.

Ericka Katz has over 15 years of experience in marketing and event management. She has worked on both the venue side and client side of events, with over 9 years experience in the technology industry. Her experience includes working for Mentor Graphics, Nike, Software Association of Oregon and the Network Conference Company. Ericka joined OSEIA in February 2009 to work specifically on the 2009 NW Solar and Clean Technology Expo. Her job now focuses on workforce training and development.
Ericka spends much of her time volunteering for her children's school district and is currently on the board for the school parent group. She currently resides with her husband and two sons in Wilsonville.
